Arranged by Jo Parker, we were delighted to welcome guests Derek Murphy, John Hervey & Alison High and Rotarians Roger & Carolle Stent from Titsey Rotary Club who joined ten club members for an evening of fun and laughter playing indoor bowls at Angel Indoor Bowls Club, Tonbridge.
The evening kicked off with everyone sitting together and being served a generous supper of lasagne, chips and salad followed by lemon roulade. After supper we were split into two teams for 90 minutes on the rink. As most of us were newbies to bowling the tuition given by our own Jim Parker, Alison & Jon was very much appreciated: there was more to bowling than we knew!
Towards the end of the session the tuition began to pay off: several members got the hang of the game and were getting their woods close to the jack.
