Despite the unexpected chilly and wet conditions, 44 golf enthusiasts teed off at the 4th Crowborough Rotary Charity Golf Challenge, rallying together to raise a whopping £1,500 in support of the Wealden Dementia Alliance.
Representing the Dementia Alliance, Allan Penney attended the after-golf dinner, extending heartfelt gratitude to Crowborough Rotary for organising such a fantastic event and to the golfers for their generous contributions. This funding will go a long way in making our community more dementia-friendly and in spreading awareness among our residents and local businesses.

The winners of the Team event were Nevill Crest and Gun (Team 1, Captain Tom McGloin)) with one participant getting a hole in one on the 6th! Runners up with another excellent score were Goodwin Racing (Captain Ben Head).
The Individual prize for 18 and under handicap went to Bruce Parsons and the over 18 handicap prize went Mark Wilson. The runner up in the under 18 handicap was Martin Edgar. The runner up in the over 18 handicap was Sue Wheeler.
Nearest the pin was won by Amanda Coates (sponsored by Jackson Rowe).
Nearest the pin in two was won by Bruce Parsons (sponsored by Casa Amorosa di Puglia Olive Oil).
Longest drive 18 and under handicap was won by Lorcan Donnelly and longest drive over 18 handicap was won by Darren Ransom (sponsored by Mirox Development Ltd).
The putting competition was won by Paola Royle.
