Community Masterpiece at Woodlands Care Home

In support of National Care Home Open Week

The event at Woodlands Care Home Beacon Road Crowborough TN6 1UD. It hosted by Lizzie Gurr Communications & Engagement Officer for Sussex Housing and Care who run Woodlands which is a 39-room care home for older people of Crowborough and the surrounding area.

Sussex Housing Care run a number of care homes in Sussex as a not-for-profit provider.

Sussex Housing and Care are members/part of the Wealden Dementia Action Alliance represented by Amanda Hodge. Amanda is a regular at the Community Café’s and various other Dementia Action Alliance events and meetings.

The event was to celebrate National Care Home week with a focus on connecting care homes with the local community. It was a hand printing event where residents and guests had their hands painted and printed on to a canvas/masterpiece which is to be hung in the resident’s lounge at Woodlands.

In attendance were Crowborough Rotary Club members Graham Bucksey and Annick King.
