Crowborough Rotary – What a Year!
2025 has been one of our busiest and most rewarding years yet — a year filled with service, fellowship, fundraising, and unforgettable moments across our community.
Here are just a few of the highlights that made this year so special:
April – We connected with brilliant local organisations at the Crowborough Expo and proudly presented £1,000 to Taylor Made Dreams.
May – We celebrated young talent at the Beacon Academy Masterchef Final and raised spirits at the Town Council’s VE Day celebrations.
June – Our 5th Charity Golf Day raised £2,000 for Hospice in the Weald, we supported Sussex Day, and launched our first Green Transitions clothing sale.
July – Graham passed the presidential baton to Ken, and our Car Meet broke records with 147 cars, raising over £1,000 for Hospice in the Weald.
August – A well‑earned summer BBQ brought members and friends together.
Sept & Oct – Fellowship at its finest with dinner at Donna Maria and a wonderful wine tasting at Alteus Wines.
November – A huge month! We honoured Remembrance Sunday, hosted a sold‑out Quiz Night (£1,200 raised!), celebrated Michael’s Brave the Shave (£1,000 raised!), welcomed guests to our first “What is Rotary?” event, and spread festive cheer at the Christmas Cracker.
December – We proudly presented Hospice in the Weald with a cheque for over £6,000 and wrapped up the year with Christmas Dinner and our first ever “Back Scratcher” awards.
